Groups are open to anyone 18+ who struggles with social communication/social skills from the newbie who has never received speech therapy, to the expert on social communication just looking for a tune-up.
This group is appropriate for young adults who identify as autistic, with ADHD, and those without diagnoses but who struggle with interpersonal interaction. We believe that everybody can benefit from practicing their small talk skills! You do not have to be enrolled in individual therapy at speech IRL, but best outcomes come from simultaneous participation in both group and individual sessions.
This group meets once weekly and integrates peer support, discussion, and practice to help garner confidence and build strong communication skills. This group implements principles of Social Thinking and PEERS in a supportive, fun environment. We will address the following topics and more:
No. This is not a speech therapy treatment program, and as such is not eligible for reimbursement by insurance. We are offering this group at an extremely low cost, $30 per session. This is the equivalent of a standard copay with insurance coverage.
The group meets once a week, drop-in style. You do not have to come every week. There is no set amount of weeks you have to attend.
