speech IRL is a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois PPO provider. For patients with BCBS insurance, we will submit claims and records to BCBS on your behalf. You are responsible for any deductible, co-pay, and/or co-insurance.
For all other insurances, speech IRL is considered "out-of-network". Patients with these insurances are responsible for paying the full fee amount. You may choose to submit claims to your insurance company on your own, and we will provide you with the necessary records if you wish to do so.
Insurance coverage for speech therapy varies by plan and diagnosis. For example, some plans will only cover services if the speech-language disorder is due to a stroke, injury, or surgery. Additionally, some plans require a prescription for speech therapy from a physician/MD before approving coverage. It is strongly recommended that you verify the exact details of your speech therapy benefits before assuming that services will be covered. Our office will assist you with this process.
speech IRL does not currently participate in Medicaid or public assistance programs. However, scholarships may be available for cases of demonstrated financial need. Contact us for more information.
Groups are open to everybody, from the newbie who has never received speech therapy, to the expert on social communication just looking for a tune-up.
